youth
and aacs
|
AACS has a wide variety of expertise and skills within
the organization. Many members are retired professionals
with decades of experience in business, industry and
government. AACS uses these resources to assist other local
area programs which may not have the staffing to
effectively manage and maintain their programs.
AACS
has made its broad pool of experience
available to local agencies that request it, especially in
the areas of structured computer training and academic
tutoring. Partnerships have been formed with local
agencies in Bunnell and Palm Coast, such as the Carver
Community Center and the Espanola Community Center, both
run by Flagler County. Other partnerships exist with other
youth and community organizations.

Third
Eye- academic, computer and summer camp
The Third Eye Youth program is so-called because
it encourages youngsters to look beyond current fads
and fashions and think with their "third
eye", i.e. use their minds to work hard,
develop skills, appreciate the legacy of past
generations, and engage in productive activities. On
a practical level, Third Eye is designed to boost
their academic performance and computer skills, and broaden
their cultural horizons.
The project consists of 3
parts: academic performance, computing skills and the
annual summer youth camp. Open to all
youth of Flagler County. Call 447-7030 to sign up.
